manamE - O Mind!
tOttiram sei - Praise (the lord).
idu mAttiram - This alone
urpa(n)namE - is best
unakku - for you.

anudinam - everyday,
veNNIRRanai - the one wearing white ashes,
kAttu emai ALum - who protects and makes us His servants,
vArsaDai-yARRanai - the one who wears a river (Ganga) in his long matted locks
Anandak-kUttanai - the one dancing with bliss.

caraNam 1

Ishanaik - the ruler,
kanaka sabEshanai - the lord of the golden hall,
jnAna prakAshanai - the (cause of) radiance of enlighenment,
maRai sollum vAsanai - the one residing in and spoken about in the Vedas
patanjali pUjanai seyyum - whom Sage Patanjali worships,
sarvEshanaik - the master of all,
kailAsa vAsanai - the resident of Kailasa,
tiru naTarAjanai haranai - Hara, the sacred Nataraja.

pANanai - the one playing a music instrument (Veena),
ANDa - who rules us,
nanjUNanai - the one who consumed poison,
vAsuki nANanai - the one who has Vasuki (the king of snakes) as his bowstring
agnip-pUNanai - the one bearing fire ( in his hand)
sENanai - the one in the form of space (Akasha)
mAl tEDum - whom Vishnu seeks,
nitya kalyANanai - the ever-auspicious one,
mukti nirvANanai - the embodiment of Mukti also called Nirvana,
ambala vANanai haranai - Hara, the resident of the dancing hall.

vELanai - the creator,
muNDakat tALanai - the one with lotus-like feet,
vIRu kankALanai - the one holding a great skull,
vibhUti tULanai - the one smeared with ash powder,
pAmbaNI tOLanai - the one whose shoulders wear snakes,
aDiyavarku ALanai - the one who the trusted support for devotees,
Adirai nALanai - the one who is celebrated on Tiru-Adirai day,
umai maNavALanai haranait - Hara, the bride-groom for Goddess Uma.
